may fall into the pond causing harmful toxins. Also tree roots may damage
your liner in the future years. |

When designing your pond use simple
curves not complicated shapes. They are wasteful of the liner, reduce water
circulation and create dead spots of stagnant water. |

Do not make your pond to small, a
minimum recommendation for a pond would be 6 ft (L) x 4 ft (W) and it
should be at least 18 inches deep. If you are thinking of stocking your pond
with Koi Carp then the depth would be much better
being at least 2 ft - 3
ft. |

Use the soil removed whist digging out
your pond to create a waterfall. |
|
Consider viewing your pond. It would be nice and relaxing to view your fish whilst you relax on your lawn or patio. |
